Death is a natural part of life. Grief is necessary for the healing process. Sudden vs. Predictable Loss

How long grief will last depends on the situation and the person. The pain will lessen in time, but no one knows exactly when the process will end. What is important is to allow yourself to experience the pain. Do not rush the grieving process. With proper support and time, things will get much better.   At least once in our lifetime, we experience a great loss and the subsequent process of grieving. That is what life is all about.
